Sierra Leone Weddings: Stephen and Rachael married in Sydney, Australia

Stephen and Rachael met at a mutual friend's house and she says that although it was not exactly love at first sight, Stephen invited her to a prayer meeting and, well, the rest is their story. 

Two months later they they got engaged and after surviving 1.5 years of ups and downs, the couple finally set a wedding date for 01.11.2014. 

Rachael's mum catered the food and made the cake and their pastor married them in a beautiful rose garden in Sydney, Australia.

They went with an old style theme with the vests, suspenders, old cars and high tea reception that was simple but elegant. They also mixed in the Salone culture with the traditional Africana dress, calabash and drums.

It was definitely a wedding to remember filled with love, tradition, laughter and God's blessing. The couple says they are so blessed to have had a wedding that mixed both their cultures something they hope to one day show their children. They will hold these memories dear for the rest of their lives.

Sierra Leone Celebrity Weddings: Engagement & Wedding of Footballer Kei Kamara in Kansas

Sierra Leone international footballer Kei Kamara broke many a heart when he wed his girlfriend Kristin earlier this year in Kansas City. They two had been dating for some time, and are parents to a Chelsea their very famous dog. He's so famous he has his own Twitter handle. We wish Kei and Kristin many years of wedded bliss. And for those of you so heartbroken you need hope, just remember Kei is a muslim man and at anytime he is entitled to up to four wives. I kid. I kid. :-) (He is muslim though for real)

Sierra Leone Weddings: Yvonne and David wed in New York

Yvonne and David met in Sierra Leone last year. She was there on vacation and her best friend made the introductions. She says it was love at first sight. Six weeks after meeting David, he proposed. Eight months after these love birds met, they were married at a small intimate ceremony in New York.
